Yvonne is a dually certified Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologist, registered with both designations with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). Having completed her undergraduate degree in the areas of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at California State University. She then proceeded to complete both the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Masters degrees concurrently at the University of Western Ontario where she graduated in 1998 (SLP) and 1999 (Aud.). She spent a number of years working in the educational setting within a specialized hearing-impaired program which facilitated the use of Auditory-Verbal therapy.  

She has taught both college and university-level audiology courses for the Communicative Disorders Program at Durham College in Oshawa as well as being an adjunct professor at McMaster University Speech-Language Pathology graduate program. 

Yvonne has developed a niche in assessing and treating Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) as it relates to phonemic awareness and literacy, as well as its impact on speech and language development. Her research in areas of listening, literacy and language have allowed her to offer comprehensive intervention options to enhance learning in clients with dyslexia, attention deficit (ADHD/ADD) and learning disabilities. Her unique set of qualifications facilitate growth and development at all ages and stages of life based on the wide array of strategies she uses for assessment and intervention.

 Over the past 25 years Yvonne has cultivated her entrepreneurial drive so that she can coach and guide other professionals, particularly those just starting in the field and who have the dream to start their own business.

Tina graduated from the University of Western Ontario alongside Yvonne in 1998. She is registered and certified through the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and is a member in good standing of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC). Tina spent over 23 years in the provincial preschool speech and language system, working with children with a wide variety of developmental and communication difficulties in clinical and childcare settings. Tina also spent several years working in group homes and day programs for adults, providing consultation to families and staff around communication, learning and using AAC, and supporting interactions between family members, staff, and residents.  

Tina has learned much about neurodiversity in the past few years, and endeavors to provide neurodiversity-affirming therapy for her clients. Tina values and is guided by the lived experience and expertise of the neurodivergent community. 

Tina has training in Auditory Verbal Practice, DIR/Floortime®, and all Hanen Parent Programs and Programs for Early Childhood Educators including It Takes Two To Talk®, More than Words®, Learning Language and Loving ItTM, Target WordTM, ABC and BeyondTM, TalkAbilityTM, and I’m ReadyTM.   

From 2007 to 2017, Tina worked with a team to coordinate an annual literacy conference for early childhood educators. She is passionate about emergent literacy and spearheaded a program to provide books and information about emergent literacy to parents of newborns at a rural hospital.  

Tina enjoys canoeing and camping with her husband and two sons. She dabbles in pottery and sewing and can often be found with her nose in an enjoyable book.

Magda completed her graduate degree from Georgian College as a Communicative Disorders Assistant. 

She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (with honours) and a minor in music. She continued her education at Centennial College graduating with a certificate in Workplace Wellness and Health Promotion.  She previously worked for a non profit agency helping adults and seniors receive community services. 

Magda was inspired to pursue communicative disorders as it combines her passion for helping others with listening skills developed through her interest in music and linguistics. She has clinical experience as a Communicative Disorders Assistant student under SLPs working with children who came to the clinics to get help with articulation, language development and AAC, and with adults with aphasia and apraxia. 

During her free time she enjoys singing, and taking walks with her dog

Emily Adler has an Honours Bachelors of Cognitive Science and Linguistics from McMaster University with much experience in the realm of the anatomy of speech and hearing.

She recently completed a post-Graduate certificate to be a Communicative Disorders Assistant to provide therapy under Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists in Ontario.

She has completed 7 years of experience working with individuals of all ages and abilities, including late talkers, those on the autism spectrum, individuals with social communication disorders, dyslexia, dysgraphia, developmental coordination disorder, Tourettes syndrome, stuttering and cluttering, and overall difficulties with speech and reading. Additionally, she has special experience working with adults who have suffered strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and/or suffer from Alzheimer’s disease and/or dementia, and ALS/Parkinson’s disease. She specializes in 1:1 sessions.

She is a kind, compassionate, gentle-natured clinician with a passion for helping individuals communicate with confidence, whichever method that may be. Her passion and positivity shines through her smile which can fill any space; including kitchens, dog parks, and her family home as she loves to bake for her family, play with her cockapoo Penelope, and spend time with her family in their forested backyard.

She is committed and excited to help others by becoming a member of the Speech Associates team and will provide Speech therapy services in the Stoney Creek office.

Tracy is a graduate from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Psychology. She is also a graduate with honors from Sheridan College with an Early Childhood Education diploma. She has a great deal of experience working as an educator and director in a variety of childcare settings including private, non-profit and workplace centres.  She is currently providing administrative support to the clinic, particularly in the day-to-day operations and overseeing of clinical management and administrative operations of HearSay as a whole.
